How we collect, use, store and protect the personal data you share with us through this website.

Last updated: 6 October 2026

LDV Innovations ("we", "us", "our") provides technology transfer and commercialisation consulting. This policy explains what personal data we collect through ldvinnovations.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, LDV Innovations is the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at any time at contact@ldvinnovations.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a meeting through our contact form we collect your name, email address, company or organisation, your role and phone number if you give them, which side you are on (a company with a technology, a company looking for one, or another kind of organisation), a one-line description of your technology or your need, any choices you tick about timeline, what you are looking for or what you are interested in, the industry if you give it, who you are if you are on neither side, and any message you write.

Information collected automatically. Our host, Cloudflare, records basic technical data about visits, including pages viewed, approximate country, referring website, browser and device type. This is aggregated and does not identify you individually.

Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as pages visited and time on page. If you decline, or ignore the notice, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics does not load.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16, and this site is not directed at children.

2. Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and provide our services. Legal basis: your consent given on the form, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it. Legal basis: your consent for analytics cookies, and our legitimate interest in running a working website for the cookieless technical data above.
  • To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing emails to people who have not asked for them.

3. Confidentiality of commercial information

Enquiries to this business often concern proprietary technology and commercially sensitive plans. We treat every submission as confidential and do not disclose the existence or content of an enquiry to any third party without your permission. We are willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement before any detailed technical discussion, and we ask you not to include confidential technical detail at first contact.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data, and we never will. We share it only with the service providers that operate this website on our behalf:

  • Formspree receives and stores form submissions and forwards them to our email.
  • Cloudflare hosts the website and provides security and privacy-preserving analytics.
  • Google Analytics provides website analytics, only if you have consented.
  • Our email provider delivers and stores the correspondence we exchange with you.

Fonts are served from our own website, so no font service receives your data. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based in the United States, so your data may be stored outside your country. Where personal data leaves the UK or European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and to pursue any resulting engagement, and for up to three years after our last contact, so a conversation can be resumed. Records linked to an engagement are kept as long as contract, tax and professional obligations require. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics settings, currently 14 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

7. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept them. Your browser's local storage keeps a small number of settings so the site remembers your choices. None of them identifies you:

KeyPurpose
ldv-consentRemembers whether you accepted or declined analytics.
ldv-sideRemembers which side of the table you chose, a company with a technology or a company looking for one, so How it works, Services and Contact open on your side.

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can change your choice at any time with , which is also in the footer of every page.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@ldvinnovations.com. We respond within one month and there is no charge. In the UK you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk; in the European Economic Area, to your national data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

9. Security

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. It is a static website with no public database and no user accounts. Access to the systems holding your submissions is protected by strong, unique credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if a breach occurred that was likely to put your rights at risk, we would notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.

11. Contact
